Freestanding bins provide a flexible waste collection solution for offices, washrooms, hospitality venues, schools, workplaces and other commercial environments. Which Freestanding Bin Size Should You Choose?

Smaller 13L and 23L bins are suitable for offices, bathrooms and other areas where space is limited. Matthews 23L bins can be used either freestanding or wall mounted, providing extra installation flexibility.

For shared spaces and higher-traffic areas, 42L, 45L, 60L and 68L bins provide greater capacity. Options include the 60L Maxi Tilt-Top Bin, a 60L flip-top rubbish bin and Sabco EnviroPlastic bins made with 98% recycled plastic.

Which Lid Style Is Best?

Different lid styles suit different environments. Tilt-top and weighted swing lids allow convenient waste disposal while helping keep rubbish contained. Hidden lids can provide a more discreet appearance, while sanitary lids are available for selected Matthews bins.

Some bin bodies, lids and bag supports are sold separately, so check product compatibility before ordering.
